John Francis Taylor, of Waukesha, passed on to eternal life, at the age of 72, on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born in Brockway, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1946 to Edward and Clara (nee Pisoni) Taylor. John graduated from Central Catholic High School in DuBois, PA in 1964. After graduation, John went to work for the Navy Department in Washington, DC. John later served in the United States Army. While stationed at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, Georgia as an MP, John met Brenda Gail Collins. They were married on April 3, 1967 at USAG Mannheim Army Base in Heidelberg, Germany. Upon returning from Germany, John began his career in sales at Brockway Glass.  After retiring from Owens Illinois, John was able to golf, winter in Florida, and spend more time with his family. John loved sports, to talk, tell stories, swim, and he was always up for a game of cards. John’s greatest joy was watching his grandchildren participate in all of their activities. He was a great friend. John will be deeply missed by those you knew him.

He was the loving father of John (Anne) Taylor of Lenexa, Kansas and Shannon (Patrick) McCaffery of Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was “Didler” to 7 grandchildren, Hannah McCaffery, Amanda Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Alice McCaffery, Jack McCaffery, and Mary McCaffery.
