Obituary of Carol J. Austin

Carol J. Austin (nee Zimdars), of Pewaukee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 07, 2018 at the age of 71. Carol was born on October, 6, 1947, the daughter of Harvey and Mildred Zimdars. On January 2, 2010, she married Gordon Austin. Carol was a lifelong member at Evangelical and Reform United Church of Christ. She worked for State Farm until her retirement. Carol was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and going on cruises. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandkids.

Carol will be deeply missed by her husband of eight years, Gordy; children, Jodi Patzer, James (Heather) Patzer, and Jeff (Jennifer) Patzer; grandchildren, Ava, Evan, Wyatt, and Harper; sister, Katherine (Clyde) Robinson; step-children, Rebecca (David) Colwell, Jennifer Austin, Donald Austin; and step-grandchildren,  Keith, Kat, and Heather. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

The visitation for Carol will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the funeral service to immediately follow at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will take place privately on Tuesday at Prairie Home Cemetery.
