Obituary of Grace D Greger

Life-long Waukesha resident Grace DeLellis Greger passed away on October 24, 2018 at the age of 95.  She was born in Waukesha on July 3, 1923, the daughter of Vergino and Grace DeLellis. As a young adult Grace married the love of her life George. They were married for 49 years.

Grace attended Barstow School and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1941.  Ahead of her time, she had a successful career in bookkeeping, while balancing raising two sons in a comfortable home.  In addition to work and caring for her family, Grace found time for community activities.  She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Waukesha, and volunteered with the scouts, Waukesha Business and Professional Women (past president) and Waukesha Memorial Hospital (18 years).

Grace will be sadly missed by her sons David of Madison and Stephen (Joanne) of Waukesha, grandsons Scott (Sheri) of Waukesha and Jeffrey of California, great grandson Eli of Waukesha, four nieces and one nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers John (Jack), Victor, Paul and Donald.

A celebration of Grace's life will be held Saturday November 3 at the First Baptist Church-Waukesha, 247 Wisconsin Avenue.  Visitation with family and friends will be at 2 pm, followed by a service at 3 pm.  Reverend Chakravarthy Zadda will officiate.  Private interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to First Baptist Church-Waukesha, Waukesha Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) or the Waukesha Public Library.
