Obituary of Dorothy B McQuade

Dorothy B. McQuade (nee Whipple) passed away peacefully onFriday, September 21, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born on November 9, 1929 in Albany, WI, the daughter of Raymond Whipple and Hazel King. Dorothy married Donald McQuade on June 26, 1949 in Whitewater, WI. To that union four children were born. Throughout the years Dorothy has been a part of many organizations and she has held many titles. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 721, holding several positions president, past president and chaplain. Military order of the Cooties #36 as district president, grand president for the state of Wisconsin, and a Royal Neighbor of America. Dorothy assisted with bingo at Linden Grove and the Springs. For 20 years Dorothy worked the voting poles. She also loved spending her time helping people and traveling around the state. During her travel time with her husband they visited many places often including stays at their favorite casinos.

Dorothy will be missed by her loving children; Jeff(Ann) McQuade of Kentucky, Steven(Barb) McQuade of Arizona, Melodie(Mike) Sajdowitz of Waukesha ,Kevin(Kim) McQuade of Waukesha, and. Grandchildren;, Christie, Patrick, Jennifer, Adam, Bradley, Katrina, and Keith . She is further survived by five great grandchildren, her best friend of 77 years Mary Cornwell, and one nephew, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Donald.

The visitation for Dorothy will be on Thursday September 27, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until the start of services at 6:00 p.m. at Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will be private on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Prairie Home Cemetery.
