Obituary of Steven L. Draeger

Steven, “Steve” Lee Draeger, of Mukwonago, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the age of 58. He was born on June 17, 1960 to Donald R. Sr. and Virginia M .(Koconis) Draeger. Steve graduated from Waukesha South High School and went on to work as a mechanic for the City of Waukesha then later on as welder/fabricator in New Berlin.  On August 24, 1985, he married the love of his life, Christine D. Beaster. Steve enjoyed working on anything with an engine, camping, traveling and the outdoors. He had a kind and giving heart and he was loved his by family, friends and co-workers. He especially enjoyed their anniversary trip to Nashville (2016), and working with Nathaniel on cars, trucks and engines.

Steve will be deeply missed by his wife of 33 years, Christine; son, Nathaniel siblings, Robert of TX and Thomas (Beth) of Waukesha. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parent’s, brothers Robert L., Timothy J. and Donald R. Jr.

The visitation for Steve will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp St. Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
