Obituary of Glen Curtis
Glen Curtis
Of Mukwonago, died peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age
of 85. Glen was born on June 26, 1925, the son of Joseph and Lillie Curtis in Waukesha, WI. He
married the love of his life Mildred (Krueger) on March 25, 1949. He proudly served in the U.S.
Marines during WWII. Glen was a member of the VFW Post 6550 in Eleva, WI, American Legion
Post 0459 and was a member of the Masons here in Waukesha. He enjoyed hunting, fishing or
any outdoor activity including gardening; he also was an avid collector of toy soldiers. Most of all
Glen loved spending time with his family.
Glen will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Mildred; children, Ben Curtis of Dousman, Glenda
(Bob) Williams of Genesee, Sandy (C.W.) Friedrichs of Hartland, Wayne (Terri) Curtis of Mondovi,
WI, Bruce (Debbie) Curtis of Alma, WI and Ralph (Diane) Curtis of Genesee. Glen is the loving
grandfather of Melody (Josh) Edwards, Jake (Ashley) Curtis, B.J. (Angie) Williams, Jennifer (Mike)
Bachmann, Bill Friedrichs, Charlie Friedrichs, Glen Curtis, Andy Curtis, Russel Curtis, Joe Curtis,
Kayla Curtis, Jason Curtis and Josh Curtis. Great grandfather, of Brooke Curtis, Gabby Curtis and
Alex Curtis. Further survived by nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in
death by his parents, brother, Ralph and sister, Shirley Wendt.
The Memorial Service for Glen will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the
First Congregational Church of Genesee, W306 S5075 Church St. Mukwonago, WI 53149
(located just blocks from the intersection of Hwys 59 & 83 in Genesee Village). Reverend Joe
Medina will be officiating. The visitation for Glen will be on Saturday, Jan. 22 from 1:00 p.m. until
the 3:00 p.m. service at the church. Burial will be private.
