Obituary of Carol J. Redenz

Carol J. Redenz Lifelong resident of Waukesha, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the age of 76 years. Carol was the daughter of Garrett and Bernice Hoekstra. She married the love of her life Kenneth R. Redenz on June 27, 1959. Carol was a devoted lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and was active in the St. Luke's PSW and Bible Study. She was one of the founding "grandmas" of the Child Life Ministries. She was a member of the Waukesha Elk Ladies, Wisconsin Educational Association Chapter, the National Educational Association and the Alpha Pi Omega. Carol was also a faithful volunteer for the Plowshare Center. After 36 years of teaching she retired from a career in education in 1994. Carol enjoyed vacationing throughout the U.S., traveling with her sister to Europe, trips with friends and family, walking and mostly loved her family. Carol will be sadly missed by her husband, Kenneth "Ken" whom she married on June 27, 1959, her children, Mark (Maria) Redenz of Helenville and LeAnn Rudolph of Waukesha; her grandchildren, Nicole, Travis, Brittany, Justin, Steven, Rita and Selena; her sisters, Marion (Carl) Raddatz of Yucapia, CA and Diane (John) Vieau of Montello, WI; her sister-in-law, Beverly Foster of Kenosha. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The memorial service for Carol will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church 300 Carroll St. Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Kathy Boadwine will officiate. The visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials are appreciated to St. Luke's Lutheran Church (see address above) or the Hadfield School, 733 Linden St., Waukesha, WI 53186.
