Obituary of Elsie I. Johnson
Elsie I. Johnson
Of Waukesha, died on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the age of 98 years. Elsie was born on
February 1, 1913 the daughter of Herman and Minnie Schumacher (nee Fillman). She was in the
1930 graduating class of Bay View High School. Elsie was a longtime member of Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waukesha. She was employed at Norman Schley, CPA for three
years and Waukesha Engine for over 19 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her
family.
Elsie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Yvonne Fruit, of Waukesha; grandchildren, John Fruit,
of Waukesha and JoEllen (James) Krause, of Milwaukee; great-grandchildren, Jay Andrew Christian
Kipfer and Elyse Ann Kipfer; niece, Nancy (John) Bugajski; nephew, Richard (Pat) Johnson; and
special friends, Karen and Leah Wampole. Elsie is further survived by many other nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nile, on
November 27, 1955; parents; infant brother, Herman; brother, Harold, and sister, Norma; son in-
law, Jay Fruit, on June 29, 2000; and niece, Eunice (Fred) Lampe.
The visitation for Elsie will be from 1:30 PM until the time of the 3:30 PM funeral service on
Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 White Rock Ave., Waukesha,
WI 53186. Reverend Larry Gates will be officiating. Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday,

June 27, 2011 at Arlington Park Cemetery, 4141 S. 27 St., Greenfield, WI 53221 (please meet
at the cemetery). Memorials in Elsie's name are appreciated to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
