Obituary of William J. Aschmann

William "Bill" J. Aschmann Lifelong resident of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the age of 98 years. Bill was born on March 17, 1913, the son of Frederick and Emma (Nuenke) Aschmann in Waukesha, WI. He married Ruth (Kitzerow) on August 24, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. Bill proudly served and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. Bill was a lifetime member of Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ and a member of the Elks Lodge #400. Bill retired from Wisconsin Motors in 1975 and loved hunting, fishing, bowling and especially golf. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Ruth; his children, Fred (Diane) of Whitewater, Janet Bingham of Utah and Nancy (Dewayne) Johnson of Waukesha. He is the loving grandfather of Paula, Tracie (Doug), Dan, Scott, Peter and Jennifer. Bill is further survived by 4 great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katie. The funeral service for Bill will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. James Gorman and Rev. Ralph Schultz will officiate. The visitation for Bill will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at the church. Private burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ (see address above).
