Harold J. Brown
A lifelong resident of Waukesha died on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Virginia Health and
Rehabilitation Center at the age of 89. Harold was born on July 14, 1921, son of James and
Matilda (nee Hoffman) Brown. He married Eleanor Schumki on January 28, 1950. He was an
active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a head usher and a member
of the OWLS. Harold was a hardworking and dedicated Foreman at Waukesha Foundry for over 45
years. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. His greatest joy was spending time with his
family.
Harold will be deeply missed by his sons, David (James Niemuth) and Charles (Pat Pehoski); his
grandchildren, Eric Charles, Kevin David and Stephanie Anne; their mother, Sharon Brown; special
niece, Teresa (Loren) Froomin; his sisters-in-law, Carol (George) Stigler, Ann (Don) Brook and
June Schmuki. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold
was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor; parents; and brother, Roy.
A visitation for Harold will be held on Wednesday, June 22, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the
Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second
visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 700
Beechwood Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service.
Reverend Art Koepsell will be officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at
Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
