Obituary of Phil Tollefson

Philip J. Tollefson passed away peacefully at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis West-Tollefson. Phil was the step-father to Steven (Jeannie) Meyer, Phillip (Pam Hoch) Meyer, Diane (Jeffrey) Diekfuss, and Rita (Jerry) Harbison. He was the proud step-grandfather of Branko (Megan), Jed (Theresa), Jacob, Miranda, and Madison. Phil was the step-great grandfather of Nolan. Phil was the special brother to: Mary Garcia, Janice (Jerry) Soucoup, Walter Tollefson, Joe (Debbie) Tollefson, Agnes “Aggie” (Tom) Fabian, and brother-in-law to: Sharon Tollefson and Mike Jadin. He is further survived by many more relatives and dear friends. Philip was preceded in death by siblings, Eugene and Ronald Tollefson, Martha Jadin, brother-in-law, Chris Garcia, as well as a nephew, John Tollefson. 

Phil traveled the world for work and vacations with Phyllis. When anyone mentioned a destination, he would always share a memory of his experience. He was a ham radio enthusiast with West Allis Radio Amateur Club (WARAC) for over 50 years. It was a true passion for him. He could also communicate very effectively through Morse Code.  

A Memorial Gathering for Phil will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church (W280N2101 Prospect Ave. Pewaukee, WI 53072) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date for family.
