Obituary of Patricia Knuth

Patricia “Pat” Knuth passed away on Sunday January 8, 2023 at the age of 86. Born in West Bend, WI on December 11, 1936. Pat was the eldest sister to five brothers, growing up in Menomonee Falls, then attending Marquette as a journalism major.  Later, Pat graduated from St. Francis Seminary in Milwaukee with a Master’s in Theology. She was one of the first laypersons selected to be a Parish Director and was appointed to serve at St. Joseph’s in Cudahy.  Pat was a generous person who delighted in providing gifts from her bounty. A lover of the arts, she supported the Milwaukee Symphony, the Channel 10 Auction (writing art copy for many years), and local artists in the Milwaukee area, as well as in her beloved Door County vacation spots.  Over many decades of volunteer service, she was involved with the Girl Scouts, ERAs, Milwaukee Zoological Society, the Waukesha food pantry, Waukesha Catholic community parishes, Hebron House, the Christmas Clearing Council and many others.  She particularly enjoyed reading with kindergartners during her retirement years.  

Pat treasured her time with her children: Liz, Peter (Sherri), Meg, Mark (Catherine), Kate, and Jennifer (David Pfister) as well as her thirteen grandchildren (Ben, Kyra, Kristi, Maya, Jacob, Hannah, James, Brendan, Lexi, Becky, Samael, Dushyanta, and Salomo). She is also survived by her beloved and youngest brother, Michael and a host of niece’s nephews relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, John David, as well as her son, Mark Andrew.  

The visitation for Pat is on Tuesday January 17, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Mass at 12:00 noon at St. William Catholic Church 440 N Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188.
