Great man who kept Tony and his friends in line growing up. Growing up riding our bikes all over as kids up and down the Cary stretch from Hurley to Iron Belt at times, he always welcomed myself to their home as Tony’s friend for a bite to eat or something to drink during the summer months. My condolences to the family.
I'm at Dan in second grade at St Joe's. We crossed paths many times through the years. I bailed him out of a social engagement during freshman homecoming at Catholic Memorial. Years later I moved to the Gogebic iron range and would run into him watching our sons play football together. I got a text from him a couple of weeks before he died. We planned to get together to shoot the breeze in Florida when he came this winter. I'll always have good memories of our lifelong friendship. Smooth sailing Dan.
