Obituary of Jacob Dykeman
On Saturday, December 3rd, Jake passed unexpectedly at the age of 29. Jake was vibrant, full of life, and quick to smile. He had a charming smile that could light up even the darkest room. The deep blue of his eyes made the sea envious. He also had a warm heart and displayed such generosity in his too-short-of-years. Accompanying his beaming smile and infectious laughter were dimples that will never be forgotten. His sense of humor knew no bounds.
He attended Waukesha North High School and graduated in the year 2011. Jake also delved in many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and camping. He was most passionate about music and he played guitar and attended numerous concerts. His greatest love, however, was being a father. Jake leaves behind two beautiful children, his daughter, Mara Dykeman (11) and his son, Sullivan "Sully" Dykeman (7). To say that the both of them were the lights of his life doesn't even begin to fully encompass how he felt about his children as he carried a love for them so strong, so deep, that words can't even fully describe how much they meant to him. When his first born, Mara, was a baby, Jake couldn't bear to put her down for even a second. Then, his second born, Sully, came and he was beside himself that he had a son, completing a set of perfect children.
Jake is survived by his children, his mother Heather (Ryan) Mock, his siblings, Samantha Dykeman, Brandon Dykeman, Cheyenne Hartmann, his stepsiblings Logan Micheels, Avah Mock, his niece Adriana (13), his nephew Lincoln (5), Aunt Jennifer (Miguel), Kimberly (David) and Uncle Andrew (Cindy). He also leaves behind his girlfriend Krisi Rodefer. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Dykeman, his grandmothers Gail Huff and Rose Pawlak. Great grandparents Calvin and Mary Dykeman, and uncle Jason Sodeman. Jake is forever loved, will never be forgotten, and will always be held in the hearts of his many friends and loved ones.
