I knew Barb from back in the day. She was a sweet lady. I kind of like the idea of Rodney picking her up in a heavenly El Camino and the two going for a nice ride together.

The beautiful photo is just the way I remember her, sweet smile, kind soul, loving cousin. Barbara and my mother were like sisters; she was especially dear to our family, babysitting us as very young children when Maryan was bedridden in pregnancy. She was one of the first/eldest grandchildren; living in North Prairie, she would often go to our grandparents' farm nearby in Jericho Corners. I loved hearing her stories of those times - my Rockteacher grandparents died before I was born, so I never had the chance to know them. Barbara's descriptions gave me insight into their life.
She will be missed by me and so many who knew her; she lives on in each of you.

Barb was the best reading aide any teacher could have ever asked for. She dearly loved children and it showed in how she supported them in learning how to read. She was patient, kind and encouraging. The children loved reading to her and sharing stories. She was a great listener and like a grandma to many of them. On special holidays she always wrapped up pencils and candies to give her students. Her generosity was so appreciated by her students and myself as well. Rest In Peace, Barb.
Barb was an amazing woman who was very kind and loving to everyone she met, and I feel privileged to have known her. I know you will miss her deeply. We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers
