Obituary of Arline Erna Selma Dallmann

Arline Erna Selma Dallmann (nee Roesselet)

Of West Allis, died on January 8, 2022, at the age of 98 years. Arline was born on November 6, 1923, the daughter of Arnold and Emily (nee Zimmerman) Roesselet.  With her Aunts Erna Boettcher, Thelma Thompson, and Uncle Anthony Brickler by her side as sponsors, Arline was baptized on February 24, 1924, at Grace Reformed Church, in Milwaukee, where she was later confirmed on June 5, 1938. Her father died of tuberculosis when she was just 12. At 16, and no longer able to live with her Mom due to health reasons, Arline went to live with her Aunt Erna. In 1942, she graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee. She went to work for the Telephone Company and later for Clark Oil where she worked in accounting until her retirement. She fell in love with Elroy Dallmann, whom she married on September 1, 1945. Blending their church denominations, together along with their three children, they joined the Missouri Synod by becoming members at the Hales Corners Lutheran Church. All of their children were baptized and confirmed there, and they remained active members for over thirty years. Arline enjoyed reading devotionals, volunteering at Robinwood School, serving on her condo board as treasurer, and helping out at church in various ways. She also enjoyed, crocheting baby quilts and laprobes as well as spending time with her friends and family.  Arline loved life and found peace and comfort in her faith.
