Obituary of Gerald O. Fehrman

Gerald O. Fehrman, of Waukesha, passed away with his family by his side on April 14, 2021 at the age of 91. Gerald was born on March 25, 1930, the son of Oscar and Gretta (nee VanNatta) Fehrman. On June 7, 1958, he married the love of his life, Betty Braatz. Gerald was an U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. Always the life of the party, Gerald will be remembered for his sense of humor and kind heart.

Gerald will be deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Betty; children Dawn (Paul) Bramel and Wendy (Jeff) Jourdan; grandchildren Miranda (David) Arce-Bramel, Denver Bramel, Amy (Louis) Keller, and Jerry (Jessica) Jourdan; great grandchildren B.J., Jasmine, Carter, and David Jr.; and sisters Idel Kangas, Doris (Wayne) Haylett, and Norma Fehrman. He was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson Charles Jourdan; sister Gretta Beckwith, and brothers Leroy, Norwin, and Donny.

The visitation for Gerald will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 10:00am until the time of the 12:00pm Noon funeral service at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Steve Bogie will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
