Obituary of Roy W. Meidenbauer

Roy William Meidenbauer, of Fort Myers,FL, passed away on December 30, 2019 at the age of 87.  He was born in New Berlin, WI on July 1, 1932, the son of Arthur and Alice Meidenbauer.  He was a resident of New Berlin and Waukesha WI for 85 years and 2 years in Fort Myers FL.  Roy graduated from Waukesha High School, served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering as an Electronic Technician.  He worked for General Motors in Oak Creek, WI for 25 years. He was a charter member of the Waukesha Olde Car Club. He also was a member and past president of the New Berlin Historical Society.

Roy enjoyed all things musical and electrical. He restored antique pump organs and built his own mobile band organ towed with a restored 1928 Pontiac.  He proudly played the band organ at many events.

Roy will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years Jo Ellen Meidenbauer , children; Arlen (Debbie) Meidenbauer and Jill (Jon) Hughes, grandchildren; Sarah (Ryan) Schram, Matthew Meidenbauer and Christopher Meidenbauer, brothers; James (Marcia) Meidenbauer and Edward (Louann) Meidenbauer, and sister Jean (Robert) Van Hey.

The visitation for Roy will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 1:00PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00PM at Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ or the New Berlin Historical Society, 19765 National Ave. New Berlin, WI 53146.
