Obituary of Minnie Swenson

Minnie Swenson (nee Fargo), of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2019 at the age of 100.  She was born on April 25, 1919 to Pasquale and Clara (nee Prezolli) Fargo.  She was married to her husband Raymond for over 50 years.  Minnie worked as a medical assistant for most of her life until she retired at the age of 73. 

Minnie was an accomplished artist.  She enjoyed painting with oil and watercolors and she also had a love for crafts and ceramics.  Her passion for art led her to become a member of the Waukesha Artist Club.  Minnie also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Pewaukee Women’s Club.

Minnie will be deeply missed by her children: Terry Swenson of Mukwonago, Pat Tank of Pewaukee, and Jim (Susan Campbell) Swenson of Wauwatosa; grandchildren:  Michelle (Steve) Colbert, Nicole (Jason) Leuzinger, Will (Jamie) Swenson, and Luke (Vickie Kaczor) Swenson; great- grandchildren: Mason and Caleb, as well as many other family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Mike, Tony, and Pat, and sister Armenia.

A visitation for Minnie will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 11:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm noon at Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd Waukesha, WI 53188.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, N19W24350 Riverwood Dr, Waukesha, WI 53188 or the American Heart Association, 1555 N Rivercenter Dr #211, Milwaukee, WI 53212 are appreciated.
