Obituary of Richard Eugene Bykowski

Richard “Dick” E. Bykowski, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 82. Dick was born on August 22, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Eugene and Evelyn Bykowski. On October 13, 1956, Dick married the love of his life, Patricia Grzesiak. He worked as an EMT and was the captain of the New Berlin Fire Department Station 1. Dick was a member of the Plumbers Local 75 and the New Berlin Lions Club, a den leader for Explorer Scouts and Cub Scouts, and coached softball. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.

Dick will be deeply missed by his children, Mary Beth (Mike) Kreitzer, Debi Bykowski, David (Leslie), Jeffrey (Michele), Rick (Nancy) and Becki (Todd) Arndt; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Heather, Kellie, Brandon, Holly, Katie, Rick, Justin, Jayson, Sarah, Emma, Derrick and Cameron; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Tori, Charley, Owen, Eliahna, Lila, Evelyn, Connor, Abbie, Kahliah, Sam, Hadley, and Lyanna. He is further survived by brothers, Raymond and Jack, other relatives and many friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 59 years, Patricia.

The visitation for Dick will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m.  Memorial Mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N.
