Obituary of Stephanie A Gamble

Stephanie “Steph” A. Gamble (nee Berkich), lifelong resident of Waukesha, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Season’s Hospice at the age of 68. She was born on October 18, 1949, the daughter of Angelo and Deloris (nee Klatt) Berkich. Steph graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1967 and went on to become a certified nursing assistant, working at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She continued her working career at Solaris until her retirement. Steph was an active member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Waukesha Elks Lodge.  She enjoyed crafts and traveling. Steph visited most of the 50 states and many countries around the world.

Steph will be deeply missed by her husband of 40 years, Owen; children, Angela Lange and Nichole (Joe) Carini; granddaughter, Brittney Lange; great-grandchildren, Selena and Silas Gray; sisters, Paulette Berkich and Michelle (David) Schroeder; step-children and step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation for Steph will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. with a time of sharing to follow at 6:30 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapta & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. The second visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, W 37th Pl, Chicago, IL 60609 or masses may be said in memory of Steph.
