Obituary of Edward "ED" Boehmke

Edward Paul “ED” Boehmke passed away peacefully on Friday August 31, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born on October 8, 1928 in Waukesha, WI, the son of Edward C. Boehmke and Alma (nee Penkowski) Boehmke. Edward was an Army veteran. He served during the Korean War in the Signal Corps as a Field Radio Repair Operator. Edward worked at Industrial Clutch Corporation of Waukesha for 38 years before he retired. His work was approved by “Lloyds of London”.

After retirement, Edward married Kathleen on April 29, 1995. Ed has been a loving, caring, and faithful husband for 23 years. He will be dearly missed.  He enjoyed junking, metal detecting, fishing, and hunting.

Edward leaves many special memories with his wife Kathleen, children: Julie(Hermann) Rack of Germantown, David(Sharon) Parfitt of Greenfield, Diane(Dave) Monnot of Milwaukee, Mary(Gregory) Hackel of Hamburg, siblings: Daniel (Cheryl) Boehmke of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Frances Kawatski of Waukesha, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Alma Boehmke, and his siblings Mary Jane (Gordon) Schley, Georgiann (Robert) Dahms, and Ruth (Theodore) Alamshah.

The family expresses their gratitude to the Staff for the loving kindness that was shown to Ed during his residency at the Linden Grove Care Center.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 7, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the start of services at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Rd, Waukesha, WI 53189. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or a charity of your choice.
