Obituary of Ethel Dehnart
Ethel Mae Dehnart passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at the age of 97. Ethel was the eldest daughter of the late Charles W. Bahr and Ethel C. Zick. She was a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha, where she taught Sunday school, led adult Bible Study, and coordinated a telephone ministry for shut-ins. She was an accomplished painter and poet, and she was dearly loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her three children: Bev Janke of Waukesha, WI,; David (Cindy) Dehnart of Naples, FL,; and John (Connie) Dehnart of Atlanta, GA,; her grandchildren Andy (Nick) Dehnart, Beth Dehnart, Jonathan Janke, Lauren Dehnart, and Will Dehnart; along with her sister Sharon (Gary) Joy of Hot Springs Village, AR. She was preceded in death by her siblings Charles "Bud" Bahr, Raymond Bahr, Florence Casper, Bette Leair, Marlyn Ransom, Robert Bahr, Marjorie Stallman, Kenneth Bahr, and Ruth Monroe. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha, 1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI 53188.
