Obituary of Elizabeth Welk

Elizabeth J. Welk (Ruby) passed away on Saturday August 11, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born on August 5, 1941, the daughter of Reverend Gifford and Dagmar Ruby. Liz was a loving friend, sister, mother grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, parades, pontoon boat rides and going to the State Fair. She also enjoyed the time she could share with her friends playing bingo, attending luncheons and social outings. Her love of country music would always have her singing and humming along. No one could harmonize a song as well as Liz Welk! 

She will be deeply missed by her children Dan (Laurel) Welk, Laura (Gary) Pozak and Lisa (Anthony) Welk-Goodings; grandchildren Oren Studer, Derek Lancour, Ellen Studer, Olivia Welk, Courtney Lancour, Samuel Welk, Paige Goodings and Chase Goodings; sister Dorothy Burgess; brother John Ruby and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Welk, her parents, her sister Ellen (Ruby) Koch and daughter-in-law Darice (Yanke) Welk. 

The visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday August 18, 2018 from 4:00 pm until the start of services at 6:00pm at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188.In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Faith Presbyterian Church 3800 W.
