Michael C. “Mic” Wagner, of Waukesha, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, with his family by his side at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 68. He was born on October 27, 1949, the son of Roy and Eleanor Wagner. In 1967, Mic graduated from Waukesha South High School and then proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On May 1, 1992, Mic married Betty Weytens. He worked at Ventura Foods for over 35 years until his retirement in 2012. Mic was an avid Packer fan and golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mic will be deeply missed by his wife of 27 years, Betty; children, Nick (Teresa), Matthew, and Kaite; grandchildren, James, Shaylee, and Caiden; mother, Eleanor; siblings, Randy (Kathy), Greg (Carrie), Nancy (Jim), Terry, and Debra (Rick). He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Mic was preceded in death by his father, Roy; brother, Douglas; and other relatives.
The visitation for Mic will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. memorial service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice, N74 W35908 Servants’ Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066 or to the UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care, N16 W24131 Riverwood Dr., Waukesha, WI 53188.
The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care and to the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for their loving care of Mic.
